bad news first:

i hated what i saw
and it really sorta sucks to not have a car
that trip was FAR and it’s only one borough away.
I left there feeling visually uninspired, but a bit more equipped I suppose

good news last:

it’s really made me more focused
I know exactly what I’m looking for now
(Or at least have a much clearer idea)
i have been working with another bride and she’s been a great help
so now we’re both looking at other places to rent supplies from
I even took a trip to Ikea for some inspiration that was really pretty helpful

I am committed to keeping this wedding as DIY and as personal as possible
Some people are into the over-lavish “princess” wedding–just not me
For all those attending, they definitely would never been to a party like ours before
And that’s exciting, but stressful.

Time to start working on some projects.
My sweetiepie (my other bridesmaid [a name i LOATHE btw]) will be in town tomorrow and I’m so so happy
She found her dress (and a backup) and they are BANGING!
I am going to do some baking tomorrow morning and maybe today too if I find some time.
Try out some ideas.

I’ve got lots of organizing to do in the next 72 days. I’ll explain why later.

This week will have to be super efficient.
Getting my hair done today, but working non-stop for the next 2 1/2 days making items for my sale at Philadelphia Designer’s Market on Saturday in Philly.

hearing.  I’ve been singing Freedom 90 by George Michael all morning long. Might be a part of my master weekend spring mix!

smelling. hopefully not too much pollen. insane how all of brooklyn is swamped in pollen in a matter of days.

tasting. radishes and mustard greens with roasted potatoes.

seeing. party people Saturday night (if I don’t get too wrapped up in creating to go party)

touching. metal and beads. planning on making magic this weekend. wish me luck!
