Tuesday I got to take part in my very first editorial photo shoot in Manhattan!
It was really exciting and I cannot wait to tell more–much more.

Hello world!
This month is kind of tricky. The first Monday in September falls on September 7th, which is a week in and would mean I’d “lose” 6 whole days prior!
No beuno.
So I’m going to just post on the first weekday of the new month so that I can also be in line with everyone that participates over at Modish Biz Tips.
August Goals:
- Create a newsletter for past customers and people I’ve met in public.
- Work on booking at least 2-3 trunk shows for the rest of summer (including until September). This is going in a different direction than I intended. Instead of booking shows with people right now, I’m in the works for something else. Something spectacular. Something I won’t discuss until things are totally confirmed. But it’s for sometime this fall. Yippie!
- Fleshing out my line and perfecting it. I’ve been pretty diligent with this. Let’s say I’m about 40% there (which is HUGE for me). New line to debut September 22nd yall!
- Create a full press kit. I’m crossing this off the list because it will be done in about 2 more weeks!
{is that cheating?} - Create various mailing material.
- Schedule some jewelry e-soirees. Had one so far and I’m looking to book at least one a week. Click on the link. It’ll tell you all about it if you’re interested. I know you’re interested.
- Create my first vlog. Once I get over this stupid “bong” hump, it shall debut.

Hands down one of my favorites. Anyway, he says that all the time.
It completely cracks me up.
And after reading this super post , {from decidedly one of my new MUST GO-TO blogs about doing this all the way right, Bakery} I’ve decided I shouldn’t have more goals than there are weeks in a month. I am just killing myself mentally with the load I throw on my back and it’s crazy because I am doing 99% of the work myself.
And now for my September goals:
- Start planning my awesome TOP SECRET for later this fall. Info to follow as necessary.
- Get my line ready by September 20th so it can debut on the Equinox (Sept 22 for those not in the know).
- Get my newsletter out!
- Have promo material finalized, if not already printed and ready to goooo!
And that’s it! From now on, I won’t bite off more than I can chew and I’ll try to not put way too meaty things on my plate with other meaty (or veggiemeat, haha. I’m such a dweeb.) things.

Just like I started last month, I’ve promised you my dear and faithful reader that I will make mention at the start of each month about my 10 on the 10s sale!
And September is no different.
Every month I will introduce it at the beginning of the month, that way I KNOW I’ve spoken about it and you guys will have time to stalk out what you want and to get it on the 10th! Somewhere along the way I picked up this really annoying habit of saying “bong” as I record vlogs. I’ve recorded about 4 vlogs and said it so often, I’ve just scrapped it altogether and re-recorded. Only to do it again!
Something is wrong with my brain.
Anyhow, good news: I’m proud that although I’ve felt VERY off track this month, I’m more ON track than I give myself credit for.
I plan on attempting to debut my vlog, with its super snazzy title (courtesy Mme. Suzilla) next week! I’m going to make the first one short, and make a sign that reminds me not to say “BONG!” I have no idea where I picked that up. I am generally very good with public speaking. Maybe someone should be in the room while I record. Maybe that would help.
I also want to send a HUGE thank you to all of my wonderful customers this week. You’ve helped to set a record for me: the most online sales in any 7-day period ever!
