143: Boston, we meet again

This weekend I’m off to another jewelry soiree in Boston.
This will be the last one I think for some time to come….unless ;)

Anyhow, I’m hoping I can really do it up during this trip
Spa
Shopping
Lots of grubbing

I’m going to make a huge fritata while I’m there.
With roasted potatoes and everything.
YUM!

Everything after this weekend will be done in preparation for Curves & Cocktails, happening next weekend.
I plan on having a TON of stuff  with me. My girl will be helping me out all day. We’ll be taking pics.

You ought not miss it.
If you’re in NYC you need to be here!
Should be a really fun day.
So mark your calendars and head out next Saturday!

137: an extended weekend

I actually feel kind of behind (STILL) in newsworthy posts and I really ought to catch up like right now, because I’ll be spending the rest of this week & weekend reconfiguring my bedroom. Throwing out some furniture. Busy busy.

Anyhoot, I spent this past weekend visiting friends in Boston. I had a ball while I was there. Had a soiree and met some hilarious and beautiful women. It was a great time and most of them have new treats. So that’s always nice. It was also palm Sunday and I haven’t been to church in ages. I really enjoyed the service. It was refreshing. And the message was somewhat subtle, so I like that quite a bit.

Also, you can sort of see some of the new jewels I made last week! More of those pics coming soon. I’ll be taking proper photos today. Right after this post.

The weekend ended on this delicious veggie panini note! OMG I love veggie sandwhiches. I barely have sandwhiches since I became vegetarian, so it’s like a super treat for me. I am going to try making these sandwhiches this month. I’ll take pics.

Speak of food pics, here’s some other stuff I’ve made recently that I haven’t shared:

099: my weekend

It feels like it’s been FOREVER since I wrote a post (it’s only since Friday) and I am just returning from a long weekend out of town. I went to Boston to get some goodies to create with and to spend time with my lovely lovely girlfriends Nancy & Nina.

We had such a fun weekend.
We ate some really bad food, then some really great food.
Listened to live afrobeat.
Got all dressed up & girly.
Froze our toes in the numbing Boston air.
And laid at home like grannies.

It was perfect.
I love seeing them. :)

I brought along with me some of my latest treasures, my hair combs. And now two of them have a new home! I got compliments on my work at every turn (which is always so flattering) and even men stopped Nina to comment on the hair comb!

Nina in my Cherel haircomb & earrings!

Now that I’ve bought more supplies, I’ve got loads of jewelry to make!
Don’t forget that my sale is going on RIGHT NOW!
So stop by & pick up your Valentine gift for yourself or someone you love!!
